Maybe the KZ440. It's doubtful that anything else will drop in.

No need to tear up a good running bike. There's always room for one more. Find a good project someone else already spent the money on, but did not finish. That should put you ahead money wise at least.

Just get a kz900/1000 and forget about that rebuild. If you look long and hard you can get good one for a great price. Invest in the future!

After spending the weekend on my cousins yamaha xj650 im thinking even that was a little lacking. Kz 900 or 1000 is definitely the next step. Ill be checking CL dallas to see if i can line up a winter project to bring back to good ole iowa in November

GregZ is selling a z1 and the price is nice AND it has engine work done on it to boot. He said the bike FLYS. If I had the cash, I would DEFINITELY buy this from him. No two ways about it, that is the direction you want to go in and it will be an investment that you will, if you keep running and in good shape, will always be able to get as much if not much more back from. The Japanese are buying these bikes up from here by the truckload which means that prices will only keep getting higher and higher.
