Brake caliper fitting? was created by Markovich
Hi all, so I have seen where there is a lot of discussion with regard to swapping brake calipers out on our old KZ's to upgrade braking. I was curious how many options there were available that would not require additional bracket manufacturing? Anyone know what the direct swaps are? Thanks, Keith

I think the only different calipers that are a 100% bolt on are the Gpz750/1100 units. Everything else is going to need an adapter from what I've seen.

For Kawi H1 and H2's, the EX250 and EX500 caliper (they're the same) is a popular and inexpensive replacement. It only takes a small metal adaptor plate, a 10 mm x 1.25 tap and a 10 x 1.25 bolt to fit. Then a new brake line of course.
I'm not sure if the adapter will also work for KZ's. Another triple/KZ owner may be able to provide more info. Here's a link: kawtriple.com/mraxl/caliper/conversions.htm
