Rotor Bolts was created by saxjonz
I searched without any results for a place that I could buy rotor bolts for my LTD 1000. Where is a good place to buy stuff that has the correct strengths for these type applications? Any sites or places would be greatly appreciated.

Good question - I nickel plated mine at home. I'd stick with high tensile steel, no stainless here even if you can get some made so your options are limited.

You can probably get new rotor bolts from the Kawasaki dealer. Or RonAyers or Partzilla, etc.
I installed some nice/used rotor bolts from a late model ZX10 or ZX11 onto my 81 650-CSR.
They were virtually identical to the old KZ bolts.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationeBay may be your best bet for new old stock. This seller has 4 sets of 2 per set. Ed

Thanks guys. I was looking at ads on eBay yesterday. Couldn't find a thing. Alright, well I'll order and get it done. I assume the fronts and back it's the same. I could even use the newer style right? As long as bolt is same dimensions.

Now that I look, there is a load of parts. I think I'd to get those Allan flat head bolts. I could do the oem style too I suppose but was looking for a little bling. Literally putting parts on a few at a time. Just need to get a few nuts n bolts and lines run and bled and she'll be pretty much together.

John, are they the same size??? When I looked at pro-bolt I didn't see any of those parts listed for kz. Just the engine dress up and sprocket bolts. I really like how they look in the pictures. I would like to see those in person to see just what you get for all that money you spend. They should look perfectly polished and all. If the ZRX ones are the same size, I'm going to order those. I like the flush aerodynamic look. lol

Nickel plating...that sounds like a plan. I may just do that for kicks and giggles once I get things together.

The Morris Mag kit for the 750 twins came with SAE Grade Five bolts, so strength is not much of a consideration. It's shear strength anyway, and that pretty much depends on diameter of the bolt. Stainless will work fine, and you can probably find them at one of the stainless bolt suppliers people use. They are just a button head capscrew, metric of course.

Just imagine the force required to shear 'four" bolts of that size, and then try to imagine your front tire being sticky enough to generate that much force.
