Sticky rear brake pedal was created by LTD_rider
HI there.
been riding a 81 LTD for the past 5mo.
The rear brake pedal doesn't release after applying pressure and stopping.
Stopping power is good, only the pedal doesn't come back to place and
the bake stays locked (or almost locked).
Any ideas what might be wrong or what parts to replace will be welcome
Thanks

Have you taken the pedal off and cleaned/lubed the pivot?
Give it a try if you haven't.

Help us help you. Please add your bike’s year and exact model to your signature line. In 1981 Kawasaki made a KZ1000-K1 LTD; KZ750-H2 LTD; KZ550-C2 LTD; KZ440-A2 LTD; and KZ440-D2&3 Belt LTD. Some had rear disk brake; some had rear drum brake. Along with the high probability that the brake pedal pivot just needs to be lubed, it's possible your bike’s symptoms could be caused by other problems depending on the type of brake. Ed

OK.
Sorry for the missing details.
We're talking about the 81 KZ750- H2 (the one that's the cruiser trim)
Disc brakes in the back. This bike has 10k miles on it (supposed to be real...)
so it stood more than rode. I'll start with the simple stuff= cleaning and lubing
and will update.
Thanks
