They were actually a limited edition for 76, after that they seemingly sold better than the standards, yet they seem like a downgrade, smaller gas tank and all.
my bikes; 80kz1000(project), 77 gl1000, 74 h2 (project)
Past; 78 kz1000, 83 kz550

I can tell you that none of the numbers, bike/engine, match on my bikes... and they all were stock orig parts. Maybe others can confirm, but it's quite rare to have EXACTLY matching numbers...

Mcdroid wrote: Seasons Greetings ED...check your title against the actual VIN numbers...it might be a typo...but if the difference is real, then perhaps either motor cases or frame has been replaced (depends how Tennessee registers motorcycles).
Thanks Michael!
Seasons greetings to you and the family as well!
Yes, I need to compare numbers on title with whats on bike.

Frames - Z1F - 047500 - 085700
Engines - Z1E - 046500 - 086000
So it looks like your motor is a 75 but the frame does not fit, I have heard that up to about 200 difference in numbers was OK as they produced both replacement frames and motors for those that needed them. I suspect as has been mentioned there is a typo of some sort.
