I'd like to brace up my A1 frame(MIG) what type and thickness of tubing have you used and what's the wall thickness of the frame itself? I would imagine it varies depending on the specific area.
I was wondering if some mild steel .030 wall tube would be adequate??

.030 tubing should be fine. Use the largest diameter you can fit into the area you are trying to brace. Stiffness is greatly affected by diameter, far more so than thickness.

in the kits i have made i have used 1" o.d. x .065 wall chrome moly or 1" x .120 wall dom for the tubing,(depending on tig or mig.)
and used .080 to .120 thick hot rolled for the plate sections.
seems most of the frame tubes run between .080 and .120 wall in my experience.
hth,
the link streetfighter gave does have a ton of info.
