For future reference. If you put 29" wide superbike bars on a 1982 KZ 750 CSR Twin As I measured you need a 42" cable. I ordered this from Z1 Enterprises part #MP03-0066

Good for you. Custom cables usually take about a day or two to make. Also a lot of the time you can simply find one that already matches closely to just do as you did and simply order it. GLWB

I had already considered the custom cable route if I couldn't find one that I thought I could make work. I also thought about buying the stuff and modifying the one that I already have since it's only about 6 or 8 months old. But I have one on order now and a spare if that one breaks.
