help- seat swap info needed was created by Z1kid
Hello, I have a 1982 Spectre 1100 D2 (minus seat), and a guy i know has a 1981 KZ 1000 LTD seat that i can purchase (not local). Can anyone here tell me if the 81 kz/ltd seat will fit my 82 spectre 1100. The pan looks the same in pictures. I would appreciate any and all help on this matter.
Thank's, Chuck

Keep it rubber side down everyone
Klx 110, TTr125, TTr250, 1982 kz750-N1 (Spectre), Xt-350 (soon to be the new home of a Kz550 engine )

The main thing I would do is measure where the seat pins go (right side) and make sure those line up, then check where the hook latches in (left side) and make sure those line up with measurements you have him take. if they match it is a good start, beyond that I haven't a clue. Just trying to stir up ideas.
If my memory of the -n1 and LTD are correct the -n1 is just a ltd with golden parts and a few other things so it should work i would think

The seats are listed on eebbaayy, so you can compare the undersides of them.
To my eye they are slightly different: the hinges appear to be wider apart on the Ltd; not sure if the seat latch location is exactly the same --- it's close; also, some of the dampers are in different locations but I don't know if that would matter.
