KZ550 LTD Rear Brake Cam/Lever and Rod Position was created by The_Proletariat
Hello,
1982 KZ550 LTD
I am about to get around to installing some discontinued parts I located last year. I have a few questions and I am still unclear after reading the FSM.
I understand the rear brake lever should be 80-90 degrees with the brake fully applied. My question is, how far should the brake rod nut be threaded on the brake rod with nearly new brake shoes?

There probably isn't a spec for the nut's position.
On my 81 650-CSR the brake rod extends about 10mm beyond the nut.
