Is there another Spacer ? was created by kzdcw
Removed my rear wheel from my 77' KZ1000A to change out the rear disk rotor to a later stock LTD drilled disk. Same diameter and thickness. Wheel would spend freely before but now seems to drag much more with new rotor?
Question, when tightening up the axle nut, the wheel seemed to drag much more than before? And if I tightened it a lot more, you couldn't hardly turn the wheel at all?
I know I didn't misplace any axle collars or spacers. You have a coupling collar sprocket side. A coupling sleeve rubber dampener side. And another distance collar brake caliper side. Other than the washer that goes behind the axle nut, that seems to be it?
Is there another collar or spacer that goes between the rear brake caliper mount and the chain adjuster? It just seems when you tighten up the axle nut to much, you can the see the swing arm squeeze in and then the wheel becomes to tight to spin?

Could be the spaceres are installed on the wrong side, in the wrong order or backwards. The fsm should have an exploded view with the correct order and orientation of the various parts.
Does the new disk have a different offset?

Unfortunately I only had today to work on the bike a little. There is a coupling sleeve inside the hub dampener side. I guess it could be reversed in how it fits inside the hub? Don't think that would be the case but who knows ?
