Identify this 16"drum Brake cast wheel was created by kzz1king
I need a brake arm for a 16'" cast wheel I put on my Z1. The brake rod arm on the Z is shot and I am not sure if the splines are the same. I don't know what model this wheel came from. Any help will be much appreciated. It is getting nice out!
It has J16kmt 3.00 DOT stamed in one spot, R-1038 in another and Kawaski in another.

Is that a rear wheel from a small KZ400-440 LTD of some kind?

I think a 650 also. It is a 6 bolt sprocket, same spacing as the 1000's. I guess what is of most importance to me is do they all have the same spline/shaft diameter for the brake arm? I am thinking so from looking at all the drum hubs for both cast and spoked wheels.

From the cross-reference at Partzilla a bunch of models use the same Rr Br cam shaft but not all of them. (41050-017). The cam lever seems to vary more, depending upon the model.

Thanks. I tried doing some looking on ron ayers but they no longer go back that far. I will have to check out partszilla.

If the axle is 20mm then i think it is the rear wheel off a '80, '82, or '83 KZ750 twin, the 650 and 550 had 17mm rear axles. It uses the same cam arm as a ton of other models some as recent as 2002. I have a rusty one you can have for shipping if you like. the teeth are in good condition.

That wheel looks exactly like mine from an 81 KZ440.

Apparently I haven't really taken much right side pictures? Gonna have to fix that. If you need any kind of measurements or spline count, lemme know.
