The only frame mod is was thinning down the brake pedal pivot mount about 1/8" which will hardly ever be noticed.

I guess that info would be helpful. The arm is from a '86-88 Gsxr1100 using a Zx6D wheel setup and the frontend is from a '89-90 Zx7R with a Zx11C wheel and brake system.
Long, long ago I had a build thread but I think it was about 3-4 forum versions ago.

As far as this bike we're gonna do shocks, rear sprocket(38 t) , and a set of smooth bores. However we are gonna start shopping for maybe a basket case or something of the sort. I guess the front end could be just about anything...just a matter of fitting a sleeve????
By the way I'm the wrench.

There are some pretty sexy and great upgrades here. They're not easy or cheap. I don't look twice at the hack jobs. Anyone can do that.

here is a thread showing what it takes to perform a front end conversion.
www.kzrider.com/forum/5-chassis/325862-triple-tree-custom-work
the method varies from triple to triple but the theory remains the same.
depending on weather thr donor lower triple has the stem welded in or pressed in is the big deciding factor on how to pull it off.

Ok I was thinking along the same lines.
B.T.W. There will be no hack jobs going on here. Could you show me of an example of a hack job on the zr forum?

Look around. I won't point them out. Guys tend to be very sensitive about their bikes. I've already insulted a few without meaning to. Trouble is though, the ones that fail just disappear.
