So I ordered a new rear seat lock chrome cover because my bike was missing it.
All it came with was the cover an a spring.
Need to know how to install it and if I'm missing something else?
Thx

the bent in end of the spring goes on the bottom and slides up in the split in the center and then you crimp the slit closed over the bent end of the spring.
seems janky but, that's how everyone i have seen was.

I don't know if this will help since it's a different component, but the image below shows how that type spring works on my KZ650-C1 gas cap. Ed

Yup on eBay.....funny I've had my 77kz1000a for 19 years and never knew it was missing.
Never seen one on others either.

Mostly for those who are restoring a vintage Z1R or KZ and need all the bells and whistles that the bike came with right from the dealer..... like those +$50.00 Kawasaki tools as in, little KZ pliers that don't work... etc.
