I've been chewing on this idea for a little bit. My Cafe/brat project has taken inspiration from a few guys who have put modernized front fork and brake setups on an old bike chassis. My thought is to save a few bucks and just put an extra rotor and caliber on the right side of my front forks? It's braking isn't over the moon at this point anyway. My kz has this setup already on the left. What are your honest thoughts?
- will this require a new master cylinder due to increased load?
- when you do front end brake work, should you always replace both simultaneously for the sake of equal wear and balance? Would it be smart to redo all the pads and shoes at the same time?
- has anyone done this and had issues with the fitting?
When I look at the forks, there are mounting holes already present but not in use.
Thanks a ton!
As long as I get to learn something, I'm happy!

The wheel will need some machine work or swapped for a dual disc unit.

Probably, but Lou said that the German market 440 came with dual discs, so the conversion may be very simple.

The other stuff is probably going to be a pain if no one else w a 440 can provide any specifics.
The diameter of your disk is going to determine which disks to get & possibly the wheel choices.
I'll guess getting a 750-4 front wheel & 550 disks. ??? just a guess.
Brake caliper. From the diagrams at Partzilla the left side caliper is the same as the 650C, so the 650C right side might be a direct fit.
