I like the 'stealth' version - it should improve the stiffness and allow the center stand to stay on the bike.

My thought exactly. Plus I live on a dirt road and like to go overland once in a while. On my wish list.

once the stealth under version is painted it is down low enough on the bike it will take a very keen eye to spot the mod  .

Leon, what are the advantages in extending the swing arm? I like they way I can turn in a very tight radius without putting my feet down. At the bike event last year, the HD guys got wide eyed when I turned around between all the bikes blocking the end of the street. I don't want to lose that.

steve,
typically extension is used for keeping the front end down in drag racing on these old bikes.
that is really the only reason you would want to extend one.
on my 80 z1r that i custom built my own swingarm for i had to extend it 2 1/2" to house a 6 inch rim and 200mm tire with out altering my frame any.
i just couldn't get the wide wheel tucked any closer with out losing my brake pedal mount and passenger peg triangles.
but,i was able to keep the wheel proportionately located so i had the gap in front of and on top of the tire pretty equal.
prolly lost a lil turning radius but i can't tell it.
the handling improvement i got from the stiff arm and the big footprint far outweighed any negative of having a couple inches more .

So it would reduce the tendency to wobble? I plan on a gusset job (I did already under the tank) and have thought a longer wheel base would help too.
