Don't like the old superbike style bars??
I came across these. Never thought I would like them. They just seem to fit this old project.
They were $31 bucks to my door. They are only 28" end to end 7/8" of course.

z1kzonly's bars look good. I also have a straight set of drag bars about 33 inches wide that I cut to size so that the switches are far enough out to clear the tank.

The switch set in the right just slightly kisses but that is an alignment issue. I need to drill another hole just a little bit behind the first one I did and it should clear.Kapahulu wrote: The drag bars look great, I hope the handlebar switches clear your tank at full lock. It sucks to dent the tank from having the switches hit them.

The left interferes just a little bit more because of the horn button and larger loom coming out but I think I can grind a slight relief and pull the wires tight to the bar and solve that. Otherwise, I will be looking for a lower (higher?) profile switch set for that side.

Nice Seat! Looks like a Saddleman???
Hope you keep your plates on the Islands and don't transfer with vehicles?
Got any old, junk Hawaiian MC plates to sell?
I collect MC plates
Thanks

Of course plates like MAD MAX are already taken and it seems like once somebody has used it, they won't let the same plate be used again, even if the old plate is out of circulation. I special ordered a plate three years ago, finally got the bike together and went to pickup the plate. They had just sent it to oblivion and now I can't get it.

... is that with the more aggressive riding position than the more upright bikes like SR650 etc, is that it does put significantly more pressure on my hands and wrists, so to combat this I got some really soft plush gel grips and when a bit more money comes in with be getting some heavier duty gloves with more palm padding too.

Well, not all SR's are setup stock. I'm 6'2", long arms and can't stand to have my arms bent. My SR now has drag bars... as did my ST.
I built up my own throttle grip on the 650 and covered it with leather. It was rough on the wrists, till you find what works. I also use a Cramp Buster. Worth every dime...
To each their own...
HAHAHA well 6'2" is a lot taller than my short 5'9" hahahaha. Thanks for sharing yours, love to see them and those SR's are just sweet machines :woohoo:
