Yup, almost went with them. They wouldn't slim down the disks tho, so the stock light weight ones were the obvious choice. 1/2 the weight of the solid ones. I could feel those heavy disks bouncing up and down. Now smooth as glass. B)

I may have just found a set of forks/trees/front wheel/disc/caliper/bars etc. from an h1 triple locally. Pretty sure they have 36mm forks and should bolt right on for only $100. Seems like a pretty good deal and then I can get that rotor drilled to reduce weight. I've seen there is a commonly upgraded caliper that's fairly light weight as well.

This is the ad. I don't know what the dimensions are but I know the fork size is a 3mm jump from the stock kz400 33mm forks.

That thing could be worth some money if put back together. You'd have to use the whole thing.

The thought has crossed my mind but it's already taken apart. I don't know if it's something I really want to mess with right now.

Apparently there is someone already planning to pick the whole project up this afternoon, but if he bails I'm next on the list. Oh well, I've been staring at the ad for a couple weeks now, surprised it didn't sell way quicker.

I know someone that has a complete H1. His wife is as big as a house, he has a ring in his nose but he won't sell it. Whenever I ride by, I have his undivided attention. She glares at me.
I just don't understand.
