Fork seals: which side up?

During the tear down of my new kz, I found the fork seals all covered in rust-sludge and disintegrating. So, I just want to be doubly sure about the direction the new fork seals seat:

Which way is up? It's the solid side with the inner lip, correct (the one on the left?)

Yes; the closed side (in your photo the image on the left) goes up. Ed
