When changing the clutch cable today I popped off the 15 tooth and put on my 16 tooth. Reset the chain and rear axle.
Way better on the high speed freeways at 65mph-80 mph
But I can really feel the difference in snappy acceleration in 2nd through 5th gear.
I'm probably going back to 15/35 with the new chain a sprocket set. It's a good combination for me.

I know Steve is going through the same thing wanting to tame the r's at 70-80 but loves the snappier 15T .....am wondering if you could go half way with a 15 and a 33 or 34T rear......... different animal my 650 is (so maybe I should stay outta it ....Hope you don't mind) but I went with a 16/41 rear over the 16/42 for quite a while and lowered the r's maybe 200 at speed.......... not much diff but a little ........ almost went with a 40T this time but I always loved the snap a 15T front always gave me on mine and decided to go back to at least stock and not go higher.
I musta threw my 15t front I have on 20 times for a while but was always too much ...... a blast but if I remember right around 5,000 or just over at 60. ............... A17T once (and only once) for a long trip but that really killed acceleration but lowered things 500 rpm again if I remember right.

When younger and full of piss n vinegar.... I used to run a 14/37 combo. Damn that was super quick for stock looking street racing.
