I'd like to replace my gauges (speedo and tach) with something mini. I see things from Motogadget for like $1000  or cheap, likely junk, on ebay for $50. I'd probably prefer analog in keeping with the retro look I'm going for but could do digital if it was well done.
Anyone know of any good manufacturers that make decent stuff somewhere in the middle, say $250-300? Also what do I need to know about hooking up my purely mechanical cables or modding things to work with modern gauges?

I got my original style gauges from z1partsinc. Won them on eBay $275. Speedo doesn't flutter and the tach moves slightly but I think it's the cam gear. Had them for a month, the red line is fading already.
