Suspension Question

Im in the middle of restoring my Z1000 79 model and am in the middle of stripping the front forks at the moment. Im changing the seals as they are worn and damaged and wondered if anybody on here could tell me the size of the Oil seal on my model?
I have found a company that list for Genuine Fork Oil Seals but they don't list my model on there, however they do have a by size section which means they may still be able to supply me with them if I find the size information out.
I would be very grateful for your help.

Ed's correct...to find which model, look at the frame VIN...the 6th digit will be either A, B, C, D, or E. A= standard; B = LTD; C = police;; D = Z1R; E = shaft

Thanks for that, here is the site I will be purchasing from - www.brooksuspension.co.uk/fork-seals/gen...l-seals/by-size.html looking at the sizes could you tell me which ones they are? I called the company and they also advised there is a BR code on the seals, I will have a look and see if i can make out the code and relay it back to Brooks.

Those Brooks guys don't list the Z1000 because it seems they don't sell the correct size.
Order from an OEM Kawasaki source as mentioned by others and you don't need to monkey around.

Why not simply buy the seals that were made specifically for the bike since they don't cost appreciably more than some aftermarket crap from China marketed with a misleading brand name of "Genuine"? I hope you realize that those are NOT genuine Kawasaki fork seals!
