'82 GPZ1100 front disc brakes

I bought an '82 GPZ1100 plunger chop a few months ago to accompany my KZ1000P-9.
I use the KZP for touring & the GPZ for short rides.
The front discs are due for changing on the GPZ and I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good upgrade to the standard discs that are on it?
The current 260mm discs seem to be tiny for the output of the bike.

Some of the Vulcan cruiser bikes use the same 7 bolt mount for the rotor to the wheel, They are about 300mm on some of the models, so there are possible swaps to a bigger rotor etc. from Kawasaki parts, but I don't know what fork diameters they use or what else could be swapped over to use the Vulcan calipers or you existing ones.

She does brake okay, I was just putting the feelers out to see if there had been an successful upgrades done by anyone on the forum. I'd like to put a set of wavy discs on but I can only find cheap Chinese ones on eBay and don't trust their quality at all.

Thats my point if you have enough brakes already to lock the wheel up Id look into better rubber that can hold the road better.yorkieUK wrote: Not been in the situation where I've shit myself yet. One day someone will pull a car out in front of me, but not yet

You seem to be of the assumption that my brakes aren't working? They are.
I'm just asking if anyone has found an upgrade to the originals before I replace my worn discs!

No need to replace the rotors (disks) unless they have severe damage. You can have them properly resurfaced for less than the cost of replacements. Ed
