I did away with the splitter on my 550's. The switch is in the lever.
Used all Earl's stuff to make the lines.
1981 KZ550 D1 gpz.
Kz550 valve train warning.
Other links.

I'm a big fan of making my own brake lines from Earl's parts. The hose end pull off force for their mechanical locking hose ends exceeds that of a crimp on hose ends according to the Earl's store owner in my area - AN Plumbing. Making your own lines is also very affordable and allows you to customize length and hose end angle style to suit your own needs.

Try Anplumbing.com for Earl's lines Martin....... Nessium had a write up a while back on them and they look good....price and quality wise.

Thanks. The threaded stuff I'm seeing looks about the same as the Goodridge lines available at Z1Enterprises.com.
From the comments I was expecting something completely different. unless they mean the push-on or something else. ???

I bought my stuff many years ago from a catalog. I sort of remember there being some issue with two different companies that had the same name (Earl's), or it was the same company, but had split divisions. The newest catalog, I have from back then (2001), says it's "A Holley performance brand".
The phone number back then was 310 644 0990, Lawndale California.
The catalog has warnings that their products (hoses and end fittings) are not compatible with other brands, and should only be used with Earl's products. I've wondered if Goodridge were in fact different somehow, but never compared.
