Speedo drive/cable thread sizes

I'm having a bit of a nightmare with my Speedo drive/cable on my z650 B3.
So the cable is one of the longer ones (90cm i believe) and I need to replace it, but the problem is that the speedo drive thread is 10mm (at the forks) and the top thread at the speedo is 11mm. I dont seem to be able to find any cables matching that! The only cables I can find that have the correct threads are the shorter ones. The longer cables have the threads the other way around.
So are there actually 2 different types of speedo drive design? I'm assuming that mine has a bit of a mix and match from 2 different year bikes.
The cable I had on was held in place by electrical tape over the thread so the 11mm cable would fit! I dont reall want that as a solution but I cant seem to find any specs on the speedo drive thread sizes anywhere so I can buy the correct one. My bike has the single caliper at the rear of the forks btw.
This is the speedo drive from my bike (B3)
Cheers

z650 Nameless Cafe Racer by Andy Turner ,
That is same as a Z1 or KZ900 & KZ1000 Just different lenghts?
You need 90CM? That is about 35 1/2 inches.
Is this total lenght of insert? or the plastic case? or threaded end to threaded end?

The only cables I can find that length are either 11mm both ends or 10mm top and 11mm bottom! I've just ordered one and im hoping I can switch the inner around to fit!
