It will take a bit of fabrication to center the wheel and mount the caliper but nothing complicated. The police wheels are cheep and they are marked for use with tubeless tires.
The police wheel is 18x2.5, that's narrower than the LTD wheel. They maybe wider than the Mk2/Z1R. cast 18" wheels.
I'm going to try and find out more about the V Star wheel. It would be perfect if it can be made to work.

On a side note, I found out that newer sportsters run 150/80/16 tires on 16x3 wheels. STOCK. If I did do the same it would limit me to cruiser tires. What makes a tire a cruiser tire? Sport tires are soft and stocky, touring tires are longer wearing, but what about a cruiser tire?
