Rear sets was created by gixxerkidd03
im looking for examples and methods to mounting some sort of universal rear sets. i would like to avoid drilling a hole in my frame but if there is a clean and expectable way to do so i will. i like to see what you guys have done - photos or links are welcome. im getting sick of my OEM stance with my clubman bars- plus - ill be doing my gsxr fork swap soon. any and all advise, bickers, and banters are welcome.
cheers

As mentioned in the last rearset thread from two weeks ago, you can easily install GPz750 pegs on a 750E and move the pegs back a few inches. Not super rear, but very comfortable, cheap, and easy to find/install.

are you thinking the 83-85 gpz foot peg holders will bolt to my frame?

You can make an adapter plate to fit on the original mounting points of the frame then pretty much bolt your new rearsets anywhere you want. I did this on my build (link below). Be sure to allow for clearance on the brake lever against the exhaust.
I made some templates out of MDF first, then when I had everything where I wanted it,just copied it out on 10mm aluminium plate.

No, get the '82 GPz or the 750/700 L model pegs. You will also need the brake lever, shift lever & linkage, and the shifter mount stud.

I put a set of these on my KZ750E and it made a nice improvement.

I believe Raask makes a set that will bolt right on.

For whatever reason I cannot seem to drop in a shortcut here. Under the "projects" header go to the title "Kz 750e rear sets" It has some good examples of custom rear sets.
