I wonder if just needs to get a sprocket carrier and a new rubber cush-drive. Is it possible the basic wheel is the same?
This shows the shaft drive plate is held on with a giant circlip, so that groove, at least, would make the wheel different, but if the rest is the same, the groove shouldn't matter to the sprocket carrier.

For the 18" wheel, what you can do is compare the part numbers at Partzilla or powersportswarehouse. A black brake panel is going to have a different part number, but if the brake shoes & other panel stuff have the same part numbers, then the fit is probably the same.
On my 650-CSR, even though someone else said it was a direct swap, I did the comparisons to make sure. the 81 csr stuff was identical to the 550-Ltd. the 81 is different from the earlier 650s.

I'd take the circlip off and see if the stock drive will fit the cushions.

Ok guys thanks. There's really no 18" on eBay. 16" is plentiful . So I'll probably jus go with that. I have a 16" shaft wheel if anyone needs it.
