Yes - don't do it. It's perfectly normal; to run tubes inside tubeless tires, so that's what you should do. If you try running with no tubes on wire wheels that were made for tubes you run a very high risk of loosing air, and it could happen at a most inopportune time. Ed

You can get it to work, I have cleaned the spoke nipples really good and apply silicone sealing them. I had rims last for decades doing this. Or if you really want the bomb, try these guys

they have been sealing spoked rims to run with tubless tires for years.

Or you could convert to some modern spoked rims like BMW uses that are designed for tubeless from the get go.

have heard that there are rim and spokes combos now that are designed to run tubeless. I have a bad habit of ripping valve stems.

Been there on my BSA - not fun! My KZ650-C1 has rim locks on the rear wheel to prevent that from happening. Does your rear wheel have the 2 extra holes for rim locks? Ed
