Wheel bearing question was created by Bigmd
Maybe someone can help me. I'm converting my 79KZ650 to mag wheels. I researched and found out that a 1980 KZ 550 16" rim will work. Ii had bearings taken out so I can have rim powdered . The bearings are both the same size. When I go to all balls site they list two different KZ models. One model has two bearings but they are different sizes. The other has 3 bearings. So I'm confused and not sure I have right wheel. Can someone help?

Ok just want to add that I had a shop remove the bearings. I'm looking at rim and he gave me back the two bearings that fit on the outside. Im assuming there's a 3rd bearing that the goes in the middle that the spacer goes through? Does that sound right? Otherwise the spacer has no way to fit inside the hub.

Yes, the rear wheel has a large carrier bearing. You can check stuff like this at Partzilla.
Is the bike a 650B?

I'm not sure haha. Bought off CL . How do I know if it's a B? Anyway I think I found my answer to bearing question. The larger bearing goes in the hub coupling.

The 650B has wire spoked wheels. single disk front brake & 18" Rr w drum brake.
sprocket carrier is an alternate term for the hub coupling.
Model identification. jarlef z650 .

The third bearing goes in the sprocket hub. They should all come in the kit.

Easy - just look at the VIN that is stamped into the steering neck. If the VIN starts with KZ650B it's a B model. Ed
