Throttle lock was created by Tector
I may have started this thread in the wrong category, but I couldn't figure out for sure which category to use for this question.
I'd like to put a throttle lock on my 2005 KZ 1000 Police model. Throttlemeister does not list that model as one they make a lock for, but the do list the "2003-2008 Z 1000". Would that work on my bike? I guess I'm really asking: has anyone else used that throttle lock on one of those bikes?
I've used the Vista Cruise on 2 Vulcan 1500 bikes I have (a Nomad and a Classic), and it works well on those bikes. But I'm not sure that throttle lock will work on the Police model. Does anyone know for sure that it will?

I don't see why not. I use one of these. It's 20 years old.

I've got this cruise control on the left of the grip below.
Can't recall what they are called, but they come in 7/8" and 1" sizes.
Just slips on the throttle grip, and when you want to use it, you push it down against the brake lever.
You can safely roll off the throttle by turning.
Also use a cramp buster, which is on the right side of the grip.
Here's a similar one, the Go Cruise throttle control:

I've been using the same one on my KZ1000 for also probably 20 years and easy to quickly override if needed.swest wrote: I don't see why not. I use one of these. It's 20 years old.
