I'm looking for something "pretier" for my kz750p but don't want to risk my life either.
i can possibly get some XJR1200 ohlins rears, but they're 325mm eye to eye and I'm shooting for something taller in the rear. 340-360mm or so.

Ok looking at the YSS and Progressive stuff. Looks fairly decent. YSS reviews are good too.

BINGO...!!! they are cheap shite, I know of a guy that had the bottom section break off one. I researched these a few years back, there used to be a blog that a guy had that went into a lot of detail about how to make these cheap shocks work well, including making a stainless bottom section to replace the cheap alloy bottom mount, that link is unfortunately now dead. I bought a set out of curiosity, just to see how good or bad they are, I got them off a Chinese site for a little more than $60 AUD shipped, I've seen them in bulk for as little as $16 USD each on the Chinese wholesale site "Alibaba" Cheap seals, cheap oil, cheap alloy, you do indeed get what you pay for.... I know a lot of us aren't rich but, Tires and suspension should be the best you can afford, its the only thing keeping us safely on the black stuff...

I tried the $100 Emgo replacements for the KZeverything a while back, I spent $100 too much for those....
