There have been a bunch of different "which shocks should I get?" threads in the last few months. You might want to try searching for info to reduce forum clutter.
The answer depends on your expectations and budget. Progressive, Hagon are the value leaders. Some guys go with the generic Chinese shocks w/reservoir. There is a guy that goes through them and blueprints them so to speak and a bunch of guys are really happy with the work. Moving up budget there is YSS and Gazi. Moving higher you have Race Tech, Works, Ohlin's. Better bring a wad of bills though since these shocks are NOT cheap.

I'll throw my two cents in here. I purchased a set of the RFY shocks and they are on their way to CL mototech to be rebuilt. I've heard so much good about their work that it makes sense to have the service done. I have progressive springs on my bike in the front so I can vouch for the value they offer. Several of the guys on here swear by Hagon shocks and I can tell you that the ones I had my old '79 CB750 years back were very good.

I bought these for my 1000CSR
www.yss.co.th/index.php
Havent hit the road yet with them but they look great and the price was reasonable ( Cant remember exactly.Itll be in the build thread somewhere).
I was looking at Nikons (Konis) first but the dealer was talking months for delivery so I went with these. Similar price range.
