Changing Master Cylinder question??? was created by dlprs12
I'm not sure how to tell whether or not these will be relatively plug and play.

I think these will save space on the handlebars and would like to upgrade my levers. Any idea if I can make them work without too much hassle??? Thanks for any help.

Ok so after some research, it seems it might need to be 14mm.

Most dual disc bikes use 5/8" or 16mm bore. Single disc is 14mm. There are some random exceptions. Check your service manual for details. And when selecting a master pay attention to the mirror threads if you are so inclined to use a mirror. Not all threads are the same.

Thanks Nessism! I have some purchases to make soon, one of which is a Manual. I'm trying to decide if I want to go with a new MC or keep it the way it is. I think when I clean up the front end, I'll find more room for the controls.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationThere are free factory service manual downloads available on the internet if you look around. I wouldn't give a plug nickle for a Clymers or Haynes manual.
If you want a hard copy this is the best deal going right now. Don't worry about the GPz on the cover, that manual is for the KZ750/4 model bikes. Each year after the base 1980 manual gets a supplement section, so you need a manual with the 81, 82 and 83 supplements.

Thanks. Yea. I did find a manual online. Have it saved to my phone. Easy reference but it wouldn't hurt have a hard copy to keep in the garage.

Manual. 1980-84 KZ750-4, including the L4. 1983-85 ZX750. 750turbo.com --- Index .
The base manual link is near the bottom of the list. good pdf scans.
Wiring diagrams. mbsween. bike-night. KZ750L3 . Scroll down & click "The Bible" link.
the site has wiring diagrams & a 750-4 pdf manual that isn't scanned as good as the one on the Turbo site.
Note: some of the wiring diagrams are mislabeled in the links: the 1981 Ltd is an H2, the 82 is an H3, & the 83 is an H4.

If you plan on changing the bars, do that first before getting a new Fr Br mc. You probably already noticed this, but the stock mc has an angled mount, so it will not be level with superbike bars or euro bars el al. I moved the turn signals to the headlight bucket first, then changed the bars. the mc is next if I ever get around to installing superbike bars.dlprs12 wrote: Thanks Nessism!
