Kickstand length with airshocks was created by loneagle
I have a '78 KZ1000a with a GS1100 swing arm and I'm planning on using some air shocks.. The shocks have a range of 10 3/8" to 13" max.The bike will sit a bit lower and I'd like to go with a shorter side stand. I was thinking a stand from an LTD model, but not sure what year. I'm also concerned about the bike falling over if the shocks develop a leak. I need some feedback. Thanks in advance!

A stand from an LTD might work . They were just a little lower than the standard 1000. You would just have to measure to know how much shorter it would be. You could also cut the foot off your stand and cut off the amount you want to shorten it , then weld the foot back on.
