650SR Rear Master Cyl Rebuild Kit was created by ezrider714
or parts individually ??
Have checked all the usual sources i.e. Z1 , the bay , Bandit
Anyone have info that it may be the same mc as other Models
It needs attention, but don't want to tear down without parts that may need replaced
1 for sure is the outer dust boot
Any help would be appreciated, from all the searching, if I didn't know better I would think this bike only came with front brakes :silly:
Thanks

The parts diagram at www.powersportswarehouse.com/p/Kawasaki#...0-D1-1978/070053D-11 shows the parts diagram for the rear master cylinder of the 1978 KZ650-D1 (SR).

The dust cover (part # 43024-003) may actually be still available from Kawasaki, so be sure to check with an online or local dealer. If not, you can get a new old stock (NOS) one from a parts reseller. The folks at vintagekawasaki.com/webshop/index.php?ma...nfo&products_id=1690 have one, so do the folks at www.z-power.co.uk/merchantmanager/advanc...s=43024-003&x=11&y=8 .

The primary cup (part # 43019-001) has been discontinued but can be found on eBay; search on eBay using that part number and the word cup.

The spring (part # 43018-001) also has been discontinued but can be found on eBay; search eBay using that part number and the word spring. Other parts may be more difficult to locate, but you may still be able to find them someplace online. Ed

You might want to inspect the master cylinder bore for pitting before spending money on parts. Brake fluid absorbs water by design and if the fluid is not changed regularly it may have damaged the master bore (a very common problem). Also, be sure to upgrade the brake line while you are redoing the brakes.

Help me to understand. Here's what I get on the second link, but I don't see availability as being zero. Ed

The page I got using that link was an England page, for lack of a better word, price was in pounds, International shipping? etc
That's the same as 0 to me, unless I have exhausted every other option. My page did not look like your screenshot???
Nessism's comment's have me in a holding pattern at this time
Thanks
