I just dunked the part in denatured alcohol to remove the junk inside of it. I managed to clean away some of the old fluid and it appeared to be in good shape. If the denatured alcohol cleans it up, I'll post the condition. I'm hoping it'll be fine.

To "dress" the bore, I have used the shade-tree method of very fine wet/dry sandpaper on the end of a popsicle stick or with a q-tip.
