OK so I'm looking to replace the Stink-o's that I've had for a coupple years. Even tho they still have useable tread, I'm scared to ride on them. Wiggly & wobbly and slidey in the turns. I'm looking at Avon Cobras, Michelin Commander 2 and Metzler Lasertec. The Stinko's are OK on the 750, but the 1100 not so much any more. I can find sets for between $250 and $300. My bike and my life are worth it, I'm not gonna cheap out any more. What's the opinions out there? All dry hi-speed hiway use here. Thanks.

Pirelli Sport Demons have some fans around here, as do Avon (Road Riders?). I ran some Metzelers on my 750 LTD and was well pleased with them.

I'm happy with my Bridgestone Battlax tires on my 1000. If you do get stuck in the rain they tread water well.

I've used quite a few different tires on my KZ650-C1 over the past 40 years. I've been using Pirelli Sport Demons for the past 8 years, I'm on my second set, and I like them a lot. They not only stick much better than the last set of Michelins I used, they also last longer (about 7,000 miles before I replaced the first set). Ed

Hmmm - I didn't have good experience with my set of Sport Demons on my GPz1100. The front was actually pretty scary. It wore into a cupped tread in no time and became dangerously unstable and skiter-ish.. The rear was ok for the first 500 miles, but then got slightly squared off (too few curves around here) and became evil too. Not to say I haven't had good luck with other Pirellis before, but the bias ply sport demons would have to be free before I would try them again. Maybe they were defective or just don't like my heavy and slow steering GPz?

My CSR worked very well with Pirelli MT66's, and in days of long ago, my 79 CBX wore Phantoms exclusively on the rear (Metzeller Laser on the front)...

The current mix match of an Avon on the rear and a Conti on the front of the GPz aren't the best, either. But I didn't have weaves and wobbles at 30 mph like the Demons...just shitty traction (especially the rear).

since I don't know what tire size you need I don't know if I can help.

My 1975 900 gets IRC's. good sticky tire that behaves well.

My 2009 Kawasaki Concours 1400 gets Michelins Pilot Road 4's. Amongst the Connie owners the P Pirelli Angel GT's also get the nod. I've had good luck with PR's no matter if it were the 2's, 3's and now 4's. The Connie is a heavy and powerful machine that corners well and goes like heck for a sport touring bike. The reviews you find on U tube have the oem Battleax tires which does no justice for the C14. After putting on a set of Pilot Road 2's I had to learn the bike all over again because it actually handled. That was improved on with the PR 3's. The PR 4's are working well with a little better thread life than the 3's.
