KZ 900 mag wheels was created by Mikaw
I've seen photos of 900 A4 and A5 with mag wheels. Are there date codes on them or was this just a period correct mod that guys did or was it a factory option. I found a A4 roller with mags with correct drum 18" rear and would like to know if they are date coded or does in not matter.

Thanks

The KZ900 A4 and A5 came with wire wheels. The 1976 KZ900 LTD came with cast wheels, but the rear wheel was 16". You may have seen KZ900 A4 and/or A5 bikes with Morris or Lester aftermarket mags. Ed

I can't tell from the picture, but that might be a 16" rear wheel. Is that something you can verify? If so, the bike my be a 1976 KZ900 LTD. If you can post the frame number stamped on the steering stem neck I'm sure someone here can give positive info on exactly which year and model it is. Ed

On second thought, I don' think that is a 1976 KZ900 LTD since the LTD came with a rear disk brake. Ed

I find it easier to spot a 16 rear by looking at the tire. The tire always looks really fat, as the one in the photo.

Contacted the seller today and found out the rear wheel is off a 750. I'm going to pass on this one. Good call thought as he has lots of parts and willing to sell.

So the question remains what year and model rim am I looking for.

Loudhvx your correct again that is a 16' rim.
