kz440 ltd wheels on a kz400. help was created by ken_vbg
Hi.
I'm trying to change The front wheel on my kz400 to a kz440 wheel. But The disc is bigger, and might be other thing needle for this change?
Does any one know what is needle or how to fix this?
Thankful for any replys.

By bigger do you mean thicker or it has a larger diameter?
What year/model KZ400 and what year/model KZ440?
There was a change in caliper type from the earlier KZ400s (74-76/77) to the later type I have seen on 78 KZ400 and later KZ440s. That may have involved a different rotor, but I am not certain I have never tried to swap parts. The change may be as simple as using one of the later 400/440 calipers on your 400 if it is an earlier one. However the caliper mounting locations might be different as well so it may require swapping in the entire forks from a later 400/440 or at least the fork lowers. That will all probably be trial and error.
If the diameter of the rotor is just larger then you might be better off having some type of adapter made to relocate your existing caliper a little higher.
