Shaft to chain conversions was created by Retropower
I'm in the process of fitting an engine with chain drive to a gt550 frame. I appreciate this is a kz website. I was just wondering if anyone knew the width of the kz pivot.
As I'm hoping to swap a kz swingarm in as I believe they are similar geometry.
Many thanks.
Rich.

When I measure my spare Kz550D1 (dual-shock Gpz) swingarm, I get a width of about 225 mm (roughly +/- 1mm). The inner pivot tube might be about a mm longer as would the frame space between pivot mounts. I thought the standard Kz550 swingarms were basically the same width (maybe even the same length). They all use inner pivot tube 42036-1018.
