I plan to replace the rear shock on my bike, i knew it wasn't in the best shape when i first rode the bike but i had other things to deal with at the time, I looked into using something from a different model but lost interest and will just pay for something made for the bike
From what i can tell my options are limited to
YSS
Hagon
Hyperpro
Wilbers
Bitubo
The YSS is the most budget friendly of them and has spring preload and rebound damping like the others but ive just about ruled it out
Any opinions on the brands welcome

I've had Hagon shocks on my KZ650-C1 for 11 years (15,000+ miles) and they still work and look like new. My bike has twin shocks rather than a mono shock, but I suspect the Hagon mono shock has the same build quality as mine - maybe better. Ed

Yes they look alright, I sent an email to a company over here asking about differing rider weights but have not heard back from them .
From what i have read it seems like they can come with a softer spring than std. with no options for customising your order like hagon or the others do ,
If its going to cost me more to do this then i might as well look at the other options
Not that theres many for these models

You can always look for a Fox Twin-Clicker, and have it rebuilt. These are out there, and very with replacement parts and alternate springs are available. I am using mine from the race bike, on my daily commuter. I have had it rebuilt twice since 2009. No issues.

Very nice Corey. I wonder what the chance of Fox having made one for the the 82-83 models with the eye at both ends. From what i can gather they started selling the twin clicker in 82, I have to do some more research into this.

Not having much luck With YSS. I found a local company selling them but he seemed confused that I wanted to change the spring.
Looking interstate or overseas now as no one here seems very interested in my OLD bike and helping me
Looking at Bitubo or Wilbers at least I can get them sprung for my weight
