Looking for a "REAR" rebuild kit. I saw a listing for a K&L 32-8052 is this the correct one? Anybody have part #s for the kit? Thanks.. Perry

I would be weary of the K&L items? Their pet cock O-rings shrink and distort.
Plus have you dis-assembled yours yet? Most cylinders are pitted with corrosion and not savable with honing. You need a 5/8 bore for dual.
I have made several 5/8 kits from the smaller single 14mm. I bore them to a fresh bore. But check into the re-pop round 5/8 that are on eBay for $89 last time I looked. I believe Rick the Britt sells them? Brakes are serious! Don’t barn job a bad core master cyl.

Have you tried Z1 Enterprises? They sell a kit consisting of OEM parts. You can find it here. www.z1enterprises.com/rear-master-cylind...uild-kit-kz1000.html

Given that Z1E is selling OEM parts I imagine a local Kaw dealer could sell you the parts.

Hardrockminer , does look like Z1 Enterprises has the correct rebuild kit. I dont understand the $100.98 price not including the tax & shipping ?? Seems extremely high? May have to though. The rear master cylinder is working fine with no leaks. I just wanted to rebuild the unit because I dont know if it ever has been. I know the front cylinder and calipers have. Thanks for the link.. If the master cylinder is working fine then you may want to defer the expense and continue as is.

I agree with hardrockminer. I've owned my 1977 K650-C1 since it was new and the rear master cylinder has never needed to be rebuilt; it works perfectly. I do recommend you flush the old brake fluid out using new brake fluid. I do that every 2 years or so to ensure no gunk builds up in the brake system. Ed

I've done that. Put new tires on and noticed the rear brake hose the black rubber is cracked close to the fittings. Have new hose coming , planning on flushing system when I install the hose. Ive already replaced the front 3 hoses. Thanks , for the replies. Perry

Z1's pricing for the oem "kit" is about $10-15 less than what the dealer is going to charge. plus, Z1Ent lists the kit as in stock & has already rounded up the parts. If you try the dealer, they may or may not have all of the parts there in stock. :)
