I've got an 83 gpz550 and the bike runs fantastic, but i noticed the suspension was clacking over bumps, even with a brand new shock.

the tie rod has some play and I find out the end caps of the spherical bearing are cracked and the bolt is moving around inside the spherical bearing on the tie rod end.

I measured it out and the bolts are about 9.9mm in diameter, and the whole thing is about 109mm in length (and It hink the actual distance from middle of hole to middle of hole is about 75mm, but I could be wrong this was a quick measurement)

anyway, I'm looking to replace the tie rod with adjustable endlinks/lowering links from another bike.

Most bikes use a 12mm hole, not a 10mm hole to put the bolts through and the holes in the chassis/swingarm are 10mm.

the XR650L adjustable links look like a possible suitable donor. any other possible donors?

The center- center distance of the factory link is 70mm .
Have you considered using a male and female rod end screwed together. They are available as maintenance free with built in lip seals, you can get m12 rod ends that have the same 16mm ball width as the factory link and will accept the factory collars that reduce the 12mm ball hole down to suit the m10 bolts.
To get the 70mm C-C distance you will need to shorten the male end so it can screw in far enough, otherwise a longer link will raise the back end and change the handling which you may or may not like .

OK. Thats a surprise, i wouldnt have expected that being as they are hardened steel. They should be clamped tight between the mount and spherical bearing ball and unable to move. how many are damaged?
The wear on mine is in the tie rod bearing and the seals that go over the collars are not the best.
