Steering lock was created by 9er rider
Would anyone know if the steering lock from a kh 400 would fit a titled frame I have for a 80 kz 1000 ltd Im trying to find numbers. I really don't want to whack it off the steering stem and weld up the hole.

Here is the part number and fitment chart for the 1980 KZ1000

Here is the same for the KH 400

In the parts diagrams, they look very similar, so the differences may be internal, but my guess is the answer to your question is no. Why not just get one that fits the frame?

Why not just have the existing steering lock re-keyed to match your bike's ignition key? That's how they came from the factory, so any competent locksmith should be able to easily do it. Ed
