KZ400 and 650 steering stem removal was created by QCkaw
Hello all,
I am swapping the front end on my barn find '74 KZ400 with the entire stock front-end left over from my previous '78 KZ650 restomod... The stems are the same wrt bearing sizes, however the 650 stem is about 1" longer. I need to swap the 650 stem with that from the 400.
After I grind away the weld, can anyone answer for me which way the 400 stem presses out of the lower triple clamp?
Same question for the 650?
Thanks!
