Sportster tank

Sportster tank was created by Bloodsweatntears
So last year hit a deer on my first legit ride took out the head light bars controls and tank among other things. I was given a sportster tank will the petcock work or do i need use the stock one? Also redoing the wiring to a simple bobber style any advice would be appreciated

Break out your welding torch and make some mounts. Where there is a will, there is a way. Just be careful to not purch it up too high with any bracketry hanging low between yourself and the tank. If someone blocks your right of way and you crash into them, your body weight will go forward so you don't want any sharp brackets to snag your junk. :ohmy:

Think i have the mounting figured out going to add some tabs at the back of the tank and bolt thru the front also going to tray the sporty seat for now cause its nice and light and fits ok untill i make my own .

Petcock is quite different than kz tho wonder if i need to change it.
Quite right about the junk . deer around here have no respect for right of way seat fits nice so not to worried about that have to figure out how to keep it down tho

Anyone know if i have to replace the petcock on the sporty tank with the kz one the sporty one on off res and dont think vacuum sealed

The Sportster manual fuel valve should work fine.
The stock automatic vacuum petcock is just kind of a convenience, but they both flow fuel by gravity.
You may have to plug the vacuum port on the carburetors >> use a good automotive rubber vacuum cap.
