Something to think about...............Your Kz1000 left the factory with a endless chain!!!!!
The closest you can get to a endless chain is using a rivet type link. Most dealers I know will usually peen your rivet link for you if you buy the chain from them.
The last two times I used a clip type master link, they both came off and cost me two sets of exhaust valves!!!! Both bikes I had to press the side plates on, then installed the clip. After pushing my bike in the summer heat over 3 miles back to the nearest phone. I vowed never again will I use a clip master link on anything I own!!!!!!
