Kinda, Looks ok. However, The "foot extension " seems way short. Does this center stand look like the OE option for a 78 b2 ltd ? Here is my bike, 4-2 exhaust.

Here is what is being sold on Ebay to compare the longer length. IE. Selling A 1977 center stand .

I’ve got a 78LTD with 81LTD pipes. I got an 78 A2 center stand and was able to make it work. The 81 pipes have a cutout for the original stand but the foot lever didn’t match up. I ground off the welds and moved the lever to where it matched the cutout and re-welded. I don’t think original 78LTD pipes have a cutout for the lever. If you just rest it on the pipe you’ll probably be dragging it in turns all day.

I used to have a 77 kz1000a, now I have a 77 kz1000b LTD. My old bike had a center stand, my current LTD does not. It has the mount in the same place under the frame, but no stand was attached. Did some digging. The standard kz in 77 had higher exhaust and a center stand could be fitted for clearance. The LTD had lower hanging exhaust and the center stand would not clear, so they just didn't include it when they sold the bike.

My LTD has a Kerker 4 into 1, so I bought the stock standard bike center stand but have not fit it yet because I will need to fabricate a stopper to keep it from touching my chain. The standard bike has different exhaust/rear peg mount frame geometry so the stopper won't work. I'll fab something.

For you, I'd say you either need to do the same as me with a 4 into 1, or leave the bike without the stand as it won't clear the exhaust. Next option would be to go with 81 pipes and modify the stand foot lever heavily.

An Update : I have mounted the used center stand on the 78 kz1000 b2 ltd. Yes, correct. It contacts the left OE exhaust pipe when raised. For now, It will be used for a work stand only as I prepare for some rear caliper , pad and master brake work. Becoming old , short and soft folks. The bike center stand is a mofo to raise. Any kzrider lifting tips on that one? Wheaties ain't working in 2020.

I added a stock center stand to my B4 and bought a bracket from Johnny's to keep the stand off your chain. I think his ebay shop is number35.

As for putting the bike on the stand...I hold the grab bar in my right hand and lift upwards while rocking the bike backwards with my left hand on the bars.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

On my original '76 900-LTD (bought new), I disliked not having a center stand, so I bought one for the std 900 from the dealer, and welded a leg to it, cushioned with a rubber cane tip, which contacted the right rear swing arm, and kept the the stand from contacting the Lt. muffler.

So when I recently acquired another '76 900-LTD, I bought the center stand shown above, but this time did not want to damage the powdercoating of the new stand, so I fabbed up a bolt-on piece to attach to the Rt Rr swing arm, which is the stop to keep the stand off the muffler. ;)

As far as high effort to get it on the stand, I would recommend shortening the legs JUST enough that you are more easily able to get it on the stand. Have modified a few myself, after using a helper and shimming BOTH tires with 1/8-1/4" thick shims, until the height was sufficient to make getting it on the stand acceptable. Once you know how much you want to take off, it's a simple matter of sectioning the legs and re-welding/painting them. ;)

The stand in the first post is a Z1r stand, my own bike is a B2 and has an under braced swing arm which makes a main stand a no, when working on bike I use a jack with the 2 supports with two large eye bolts and pins I made to go through existing stand mounts
