Caliper seals. was created by Davey b
Gonna do a complete brake rebuild soon. Have refurbed the master cylinder already. Pretty confident on the rest of it, do have 1 question though. When replacing the caliper seals, do they go in a particular way or can they go in either way round. Wasnt sure if they had a slight lip or not !!

The caliper Piston seals can go in either way round, they have a square cross-section. The dust seals on the caliper need restictiv position to seal for.

Warning (should it apply): I've had a number of bad experiences using bad K&L brake system parts, including caliper seals. I'd use OEM if at all possible.

I second that.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

And I've never had a problem with K&L stuff. caliper rebuild kit. petcock kit. accelerator pump kit. fork seals. and I forget what else. :)

Thanks for that, is there a clip or ring holding the dust seal in or just a push fit ?

Genuine factory parts are available and cheap. I don't see a ring listed anywhere. The part number at Scirocco’s post shows as the rubber piston seal at Partzilla.
