KZ750N Spectre rear shock specs was created by Beveans4
Stock air shocks are shot, looking to replace them but I'm having a hard time finding the stock eye-to-eye length and eye bolt diameter/length dimensions

So far I'm thinking the stock KZ750N takes a 340mm rear shock with 12mmx20mm eyes, anyone have better information than that?

also if you have shock absorber recommendations let me know! :)

upon further investigation

The eyes for the rear shocks are 14mmx22mm and length of travel is 330mm
Problem now comes when I can't find any shocks with a 14mm eye
what do

I've been using Hagon shocks (Hagon Custom shocks Classic I - Application Type CC1 (Standard Spring) ) on my KZ650 for more than 13 years (17,000+ miles) and they still work like and look like new. Ed

Very nice build! I'd love to turn the KZ into something like that, but unfortunately we're working with a extraordinarily limited budget

OK so let's set the bar straight,
I love the look of those shocks, but we're looking for something waaay cheaper.
I'm talkin something like THIS Amazon budget shocks

and honestly I don't know if buying something like that would be a danger or if they'd work just fine for getting it on the road and legal. Making it nice will come later but right now we are quite tight on money just trying to get it on the road

Anyone ever use anything like these?

Those Emgo shocks or whatever brand they are will be fine. probably a little stiff, but they will work.
note: the 330 mm measurement is probably the shock length (eye-to-eye), not the length of travel.

For budget shocks, you might be able to find a good set of HD Sportster shocks for cheap on EB. I think the stock sportys are in the 335mm range. The chain guard might contact the LH shock a little, but that shouldn't be a big problem as the chain guard moves with the lower shock & swing arm.

Partzilla has diagrams w a cross-reference, so you can see what other models use the same parts, such as the shock dampers.
